More of what we have been up to!

Karlee and I were able to go to Nashville last week so that she could participate in the Tennessee Honor Choir.  She was selected from several hundred who auditioned to go.  She has such a pretty voice!  We stopped by the Parthenon in Nashville before heading to the Opryland Hotel.  It is an exact replica of the original in Greece.  If anyone has seen the movie PERCY JACKSON this is the statue of Athena they used.
We went out to eat with the other kids from her school that went.  She ordered a HUGE plate of catfish, cod, crab cakes and frog legs!
Karlee and two of her friends Sarah and Rachel.  (they also live just down the street!)
This is the honor choir from all over the state.  Of course Maryville had the most kids.  They could only send in ten audition tapes from each school.  This year Maryville had ALL ten accepted.  They performed in the Tennessee Ball Room of the Opryland Hotel.

Carter Also turned 6 on April 5.  I can't believe he is that old.  He sure is cute though.

We went to Atlanta last weekend for the Atlanta Temple Open House.  We stopped by World of Coca-Cola before.  This is kara trying the really nasty Italian drink "beverly"
 Outside Coke world
You can drink to your hearts content!
Carter loved this burping coke machine
The totally redone Atlanta Temple is gorgeous.  It was so hot and humid that day it reminded me of the day Chris and I were married in the middle of July.
This fun park is the Olympic Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta.  It brought back memories of when Chris and I went to the Atlanta Olympics

a Quick look through the last three months!

Karlee's first Temple Trip.  I was able to go to Nashville with my two beautiful girls!
Eighties night at church.  I think we look spectacular with all that poofy hair!
Cute Carter and his friend Will Morgan at Krislee's Orchestra Concert.  They both were playing with IPhones and they looked like little business men.
Krislee's Orchestra put on a spectacular Valentines concert.  It was their Pops concert so they played a lot of familiar music.
This is what happens when you put regular liquid hand soap in a dishwasher.  It made a TON of bubbles.
We made fun out of the mess though!
Kara had Market Day for 2nd grade.  They had to make a product to sell.  We made bottle cap jewelry and magnets. They were very cute and she came REALLY close to selling all 75.
Krislee was also in her High School Play, "Fiddler on the Roof".  It was AMAZING!!  I think it was better than the movie.  These Maryville kids are just oozing with talent.  I want to see it again.
Krislee planned a daddy/daughter Nerd Night at Church.  Chris and Karlee really got into dressing up.  Karlee even made her glasses from popcicle sticks and pony tail holders.
Krislee: Nerd Queen
I am glad that isn't a real razor!

We were dreaming of a White Christmas and Santa delivered! We woke up Christmas Morning to snow on the ground and more falling from the sky. It snowed all day into the night. When Sunday morning arrived we had 4 inches on the ground! enjoy the pictures below of the kids opening presents.

Monday there was still snow on the ground, so we got together with a bunch of kids from church and found a good hill to slide down. By the way I am LOVING the extraordinary camera Chris gave me for Christmas. I have barely begun to use it, but I have been getting some great pictures anyway.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
